As you’ve just experienced, Van Til’s apologetic framework depends entirely on knowing whether or not the speaker is a believer. Without that disclosure, the system can’t confidently evaluate even the simplest statements like “The Eiffel Tower is in Paris.”
And that’s the point.
A system that cannot function without prior worldview labels is not an objective apologetic — it’s a presuppositional trap that fails before it begins. If your system collapses into ambiguity the moment someone doesn’t self-identify, then it isn't truth you’re defending — it’s a strategy.
Truth should not require a disclaimer.
